Dear Wine Lovers in Kyoto,
It's Beaujolais Nouveau Time! Well technically yesterday was the international Beaujolais Day, but today is Friday and we want to help you welcome in the weekend. We have stocked many different bottles of Beaujolais at our pubs in Kyoto. The word from France is that this years Beaujolais Nouveau is so good that it's a once in 50 year bottling! For those who are unfamiliar with this French tradition let us give you the basics. Beaujolais is a wine region in France that celebrates the end of the harvest by drinking the new wine made from this year's grapes. Normally wine is aged but these bottles are enjoyed right away in order to celebrate. This wine has fresh young flavor that is just plain fun to drink. No need to worry about complexity or sophistication. Just enjoy! This wine is fruity and has flavors and aromas such as grape, strawberry, fig, pears, and banana. "Le Beaujolais nouveau est arrivé!" We hope that you will enjoy this wonderful French tradition with us. :) Be sure to send some positive thoughts and well wishes to the people of France. Cheers, Man in the Moon Comments are closed.
