Today we have the biggest announcement in our 7 year history. Man in the Moon Irish Pubs is opening a flagship pub in Tokyo this December! We first opened our pub doors in 2008 at Kyoto Station here in Kansai. At the time we never dreamed that we would be opening a pub years later in the capitol city of Japan. We've gone from Kyoto Station to JR Shinbashi Station! How awesome is that?

Construction of our new pub begins in November and we're now looking for the staff that will bring it to life once the doors open in December. Details are starting to emerge about this year's Halloween party at our flagship Kyoto Station Pub! The theme this year is "Hollywood Movies." They will have a DJ and a prize for the best "crazy dance" of the night. 100yen discount on all drinks for people in costume!

Just a quick reminder that we love to host parties at Man in the Moon! We have two locations with private event spaces you can reserve any time. Our Karasuma Pub has a private party room that easily seats 18 people. Our Rokkaku Pub in downtown Kyoto has an entire 2nd floor with a private bar just for you and your friends! It's also equipped with a brand new digital projector, HD TVs, and audio system. It's one of the best event spaces in Kyoto. We highly recommended it for big events such as wedding after-parties and end-of-year work parties. The 2nd floor seats 38 people with standing room for 60.

If you don't need a private room you can still reserve tables at any of our 4 locations in Kyoto whenever you like!

We also have party plans to go along with your event. We have two hour all-you-can-drink plans with food starting from 2,500yen per person, with a minimum of 4 people. It's one of the best deals in town! We can also customize your party plan to fit your needs.
